These Delivery Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed on thegeneralclassification.cc by customers in the United Kingdom and Worldwide. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

We deliver worldwide and use various shipping methods depending on the item/s and location. Delivery time will depend on the specific product and order. All our products fall into 2 categories; 'In-stock' & 'Made-to-order'. In-stock items are indicated on product pages.

Delivery timelines

The delivery times provided above are estimates only and are given in good faith based on information from our delivery partners (including Royal Mail). While we aim to deliver your order within the stated timeframes, these timeframes are not guaranteed. Delivery times may vary due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

  • Delays with the courier (e.g. Royal Mail network disruptions).
  • Peak trading periods (e.g. Christmas, Black Friday).
  • Weather conditions or natural events.
  • Bank Holidys.
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery address details.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if we become aware of any unexpected delay. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Delivery times are indicative only and not of the essence of the contract.
  • We are not liable for any loss, inconvenience, or cost incurred due to delivery delays.
  • No compensation or refunds will be issued solely for delayed delivery.

Safe Place Delivery & Customer Responsibility

All parcels are delivered by Royal Mail, and may be left in a safe place without a signature if no one is available. By placing an order, you agree and accept that:

  • Royal Mail will leave your parcel in a safe place (e.g. porch, shed, reception or with a neighbour) if delivery cannot be made directly.
  • Once Royal Mail confirms that the parcel has been delivered to a safe place or neighbour, the delivery is complete.
  • From that point forward, you accept full responsibility for the parcel, including any loss, theft, or damage.

We are not liable for any issues that arise after Royal Mail marks the delivery as completed to a safe place.

Loss, Delay or Damage

If your parcel hasn’t arrived, please contact us within 7 working days of the expected delivery date. We’ll investigate with Royal Mail. Claims for lost parcels follow Royal Mail’s timelines:

  • 10 working days after the due date (Tracked 24/48)
  • 15 working days after the due date (Royal Mail 2nd Class)

We will offer a replacement or refund where appropriate once Royal Mail confirms the parcel is lost.
